Classic Car Enthusiast,
The Sporting Car Club of Norfolk invites you to join us for our Midsummer Classic Car Run.
This year we will be starting at the Whitwell and Reepham Railway (NR10 4GA) and finishing at Mannigton Gardens (NR11 7BB). Facilities at the Gardens are limited and to ensure everyone is catered for pre-booking is required (here).
This year’s route will be about 80/90 miles long.
We are keen to attract a good number of cars, so the route will be free flowing to suit older vehicles while still avoiding A-roads when ever possible. If you are not to sure that your vehicle is eligible for the run, please contact us (address etc below).
This is not a speed event, it is designed to be a leisurely drive through the countryside.
You do not need to be a member of the Sporting Car Club of Norfolk to enter this event.
At the start you will be supplied with a rally plate for the front of your car and a route book in our popular easy-to-follow format. A memento will be given to every car that completes the run.
The first cars will start leaving the start at 9.30am and the timing will be relaxed, allowing sufficient time to enjoy the various sites of interest along the way.
This year we will be making a donation to a charity fund on behalf of everyone taking part or supporting the Classic Run. There will be opportunities to give donations to the charity fund throughout the day.
At the start venue you and your party will be welcome to a free tea or coffee, and you can purchase a breakfast (bacon rolls etc) before you leave.
We will post any news in the final instructions and on the SCCON web site, we hope to be able to offer reduced entry fees to some of the venues we are visiting this year.
If you would like to take part, please download and complete the entry form and send it with a cheque for £24.00 payable to “Sporting Car Club of Norfolk Ltd” to our entries secretary:
32 Queen Elizabeth Drive
Phone: 01502 716280 (after 6pm)
The closing date for entries is 17th June 2012.
We will try and acknowledge entries by Email during the week of receiving your entry.
The Final Instructions will be sent out during the week before the event.
We look forward to meeting you for an enjoyable days motoring.
